1. What SelfMSF is
1.1 Technology and market access
SelfMSF provides trading technology and access to CFD markets covering forex, stocks, indices, commodities, metals and crypto. We give you the tools to follow prices and place trades. We do not tell you what to trade, when to trade or how much to risk.
1.2 Information, not advice
Everything on the Platform, including market news, price analysis, educational articles, webinars, glossaries and any commentary from our team, is general information. It does not take your personal circumstances, financial situation or objectives into account and is not personalised investment, financial, legal or tax advice.
If you are unsure whether trading CFDs is right for you, speak to an independent, suitably qualified adviser before you start.
2. Risk warning
2.1 CFDs are high risk
CFDs are complex, leveraged instruments. Leverage means a relatively small price movement can produce a large gain or loss relative to your deposit. You can lose your entire account balance in a short period. Prices across all asset classes can gap, spike or become illiquid without warning, particularly around economic releases, central bank announcements, geopolitical events and market openings.
2.2 Crypto-specific risk
CFDs on cryptocurrencies carry additional risk. Crypto prices are highly volatile, trade around the clock, and can be influenced by regulatory announcements, exchange outages, network events and sentiment shifts. Spreads may widen significantly during periods of stress.
2.3 No guaranteed outcomes
Nothing on the Platform guarantees profit or protection against loss. Historical charts, back-tested strategies, example trades and hypothetical scenarios are illustrations only. They are not predictions and should not be relied on as such.
2.4 Your responsibility
You alone decide whether a trade is appropriate for you. Before trading, consider your experience, your financial position and how much you can afford to lose. Never trade with money you need for living expenses, debt repayments or other commitments.
3. Accuracy of information
3.1 Content may be out of date
We aim to keep the Platform accurate and current, but markets move quickly and information can become outdated without notice. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that any content is complete, accurate, timely or suitable for a particular purpose.
3.2 Market data
Prices, charts, indicators and economic calendar entries are supplied by third-party data providers and processed by automated systems. They may be delayed, incomplete or contain errors. The price shown on a chart may differ from the price at which an order is executed. Do not base decisions on a single source of data.
3.3 Third-party content
Where the Platform displays news, analysis or opinion from external contributors, the views expressed are those of the contributor and not necessarily those of SelfMSF.
4. Platform availability
4.1 No promise of continuous access
We try to keep the Platform available at all times, but outages happen. Maintenance windows, software releases, internet or hosting failures, provider disruptions, cyber incidents and events outside our control may all interrupt access, sometimes without warning.
4.2 Technical risk
Online trading depends on your own device, software and internet connection as well as ours. Connection failures, slow response times and hardware faults can prevent orders from being placed, modified or closed. Where possible, keep an alternative means of contacting us available, such as the support email, in case you cannot reach the Platform.
5. Third parties and links
5.1 External providers
Parts of the Platform are delivered by third parties, including liquidity providers, data vendors, payment processors and hosting services. We do not control their operations and, unless the law or a written agreement says otherwise, we do not guarantee their performance or continued availability.
5.2 External links
Links to other websites are provided for convenience only. A link does not mean we endorse or verify the content on the linked site. External sites have their own terms, privacy policies and risk disclosures.
6. Limitation of liability
6.1 General
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SelfMSF is not liable for any loss or damage arising from:
- reliance on general information published on the Platform;
- your own trading decisions or the outcome of any trade;
- market movements, gapping, slippage or lack of liquidity;
- interruptions, delays or failures affecting access to the Platform;
- errors in third-party data or services;
- indirect, consequential or special losses, including lost profits.
6.2 What is not excluded
Nothing in this Disclaimer limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law. It also does not override statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived.
6.3 “As is” basis
Except where expressly agreed in writing, the Platform and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind.
7. Jurisdiction
The availability of SelfMSF and the products offered on it depends on where you live. Access to the website does not mean our Services are available or authorised in your country. You are responsible for making sure that using the Platform is lawful where you are. Nothing in this Disclaimer overrides mandatory provisions of applicable law.
8. Changes
We may revise this Disclaimer from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, our Services or legal requirements. The current version is published on this page. Please check it periodically.
